Skydog's Comments:
  - Very interesting mix of songs in the May Top 15. First, Shooter Jennings appears twice at #2 and #4...one from his early days and one from his latest work, (Family Man). Guess it goes to show...our listeners know good music when they hear it!
   - A couple of the newer faces in the Southern Rock world made the grade with our listeners this month: The Southern Boys Band and the Due South Band.
   * The Southern Boys Band is a family with the bloodlines of the Real Southern Rock in their bodies AND in their music. They're the nephews and son of the late George McCorkle (the original Marshall Tucker Band). BUT, there ain't no ridin' on the coattails and the name here...these guys are stellar musicians and songwriters in their own right. With their 2nd CD now being recorded, the Long Hard Ride just might be over and the Salvation of Southern Rock can begin!
   * The Due South Band is another name to watch. Their "I Ain't Backin' Down" at #7 is the fastest rising song on the chart. In only 2 weeks on the play list, it cracked the Top 10...and it's only a rough demo...just wait for the completed CD!
  -  NEW ! - I'll be featuring the "New Faces" and the "Old Friends" of Red Dirt Radio with videos from YouTube here on the blog. Videos will rotate pretty often, so keep coming back...you don't want to miss anybody...they'll be some live stuff you wont BELIEVE!
